Personal Data Protection Charter
Article 1 – Definitions of terms used in the charter
The following terms will be defined as:
- “Personal data”: defined as “any information relating to an identified natural person or one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identification number or to one or more elements specific to them”, in accordance with the Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978.
- “Site” or “Service”: the website http://www.apolearn.com and all of its pages.
- “Publisher”: Apolearn, the legal or natural person responsible for editing and content of the Site.
- “User”: the internet user visiting and using the Services of the Site.
Article 2 – Introduction and role of the charter
This charter aims to inform you of the Site’s commitments regarding respect for your privacy and the protection of Personal Data concerning you, collected and processed during your use of the service.
By registering on the Site, you agree to provide us with true information about yourself. Communicating false information is contrary to the general conditions on the Site. You can at any time make a request to Apolearn to know what information about you is held by Apolearn, to object to its processing, to have it modified or deleted by contacting the publication director at contact@apolearn.com.
Article 3 – Data collected on the Site
The Data collected and subsequently processed by the Site is that which you voluntarily transmit by filling out the various forms present within the Site. For certain operations on content, you may be required to transmit Data concerning you to third-party partners through their own services, specifically during payments you may make. We will not have access to said data, its collection and processing being governed by the conditions specific to these third parties. Your IP address (identification number assigned to your computer on the Internet) is automatically collected. You are informed that the service may implement an automatic tracking process (Cookie), which you can block by changing the relevant settings in your internet browser, as explained in the general conditions of this Site.
The contact details of Users who have registered on the Site will be saved, in compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978. In accordance with this act, they have the right to access, withdraw, modify or rectify the Data they have provided. The collection of Users’ Personal Data by the Publisher has been declared to the French personal data protection authority (the National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties – CNIL) under number 1992276.
Article 4 – Purposes of collected Data
The Data identified as being mandatory on the Site’s forms is necessary in order to benefit from the corresponding functionalities of the Site, and more specifically the operations on the content offered within it. The Site collects and processes User Data to send emails, perform traffic statistics, and process orders on the Site.
Article 5 – Recipients and use of collected Data
The Data collected by us is processed for the purposes of executing operations on the contents of the Service. You may receive emails from our Service, particularly as part of newsletters you have agreed to. Article 7 – Data Retention Period
The Data is stored with the site host, whose details are provided in the legal notices of the Site, and is retained for the period strictly necessary to achieve the purposes mentioned above. Beyond this period, they will be retained for exclusively statistical purposes and will not be subject to any exploitation of any kind.
