Personal data protection charter

Article 1 - Definitions of terms used in the charter

In the following, we will refer to :

  • "Personal data" is defined as " any information relating to a natural person who is identified or can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identification number or to one or more elements specific to that person ", in accordance with the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978.
  • "Site" or "Service": the http://www.apolearn.com site and all its pages.
  • "Publisher": Apolearn, the legal entity or individual responsible for the publication and content of the Site.
  • "User": the Internet user visiting and using the Site's Services.

Article 2 - Introduction and role of the charter

The purpose of this charter is to inform you of the Site's commitments with regard to the respect of your privacy and the protection of your Personal Data collected and processed during your use of the service.

By registering on the Site, you agree to provide us with true information about yourself. Providing false information is contrary to the terms and conditions set out on the Site. You may at any time make a request to Apolearn to find out what information about you is held by Apolearn, to object to its processing, or to have it amended or deleted, by contacting the publishing director at contact@apolearn.com.

Article 3 - Data collected on the Site

The Data collected and subsequently processed by the Site are those that you voluntarily transmit to us by filling in the various forms on the Site. For certain content-related operations, you may be asked to transmit your personal data to third-party partners through their own services, more specifically when you make a payment. We will not have access to this data, as its collection and processing are governed by the terms and conditions specific to these parties. We invite you to consult their conditions before communicating your Data in this context.

Your IP address (the identification number assigned to your computer on the Internet) is collected automatically. You are informed that the service may implement an automatic tracking process (Cookie), which you can prevent by changing the relevant settings on your Internet browser, as explained in the general conditions of this Site.

The contact details of Site Users who have registered with the Site will be stored in accordance with the provisions of the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978. In accordance with this law, Users have the right to access, withdraw, modify or rectify the Data they have provided. The Publisher's collection of Users' Personal Data has been declared to the French Data Protection Authority (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés - CNIL) under number 1992276.

Article 4 - Purposes of the Data collected

The Data identified as mandatory on the Site's forms is required in order to benefit from the Site's corresponding functionalities, and more specifically from the operations on the content offered within the Site. The Site collects and processes User Data in order to send e-mails, compile traffic statistics and process orders on the Site.

Article 5 - Recipients and use of collected Data

The Data collected by us is processed for the purposes of carrying out operations on the contents of the Service. You may receive e-mails from our Service, in particular as part of newsletters that you have accepted. You may opt out of receiving these e-mails by contacting us at support@apolearn.com or by clicking on the appropriate link in any e-mail sent to you.

Article 6 - Data security

You are informed that your Data may be disclosed in application of a law, regulation or by virtue of a decision by a competent regulatory or judicial authority or, if necessary, for the purposes of the Publisher's rights and interests.

Article 7 - Data retention period

Data is stored by the site host, whose contact details are given in the Site's legal notice, and is kept for the time strictly necessary to achieve the above-mentioned purposes. Beyond this period, it will be kept exclusively for statistical purposes and will not be used in any way whatsoever.
